Presentation at the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Belize Defence Force Transition to Civilian Life

Attorney Marissa Longsworth partook in the joint programme between the Belize Defence Force (BDF) and the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to train retiring BDF soldiers in practical skills for the real world. Her presentation was focused on giving tips on general requirements for starting a business in Belize and also specific requirements, depending on the nature of the business.

Other presenters included Mr. Jody Williams with marketing advice, and Mr. Marnix Perez with guidance on sales processes. Ms. Longsworth had this to say about her participation in the role of an Attorney and as Immediate Past President of the BCCI:

"It was a privilege to be able to interact with the soldiers of the BDF and to provide them with some real-life, practical tips to start a business in compliance with Belize's laws and regulations. As they transition to civilian life, they have the opportunity to become entrepreneurs in any of the many sectors available to them. The BCCI wishes them the best of luck with their endeavours and invites them to join us through their businesses as members in the future."
